The ENTRESOC Game is part of a series of interventions on entrepreneurship development. The game is inspired by the CEFE (Competency based Economies thru Formation of Entrepreneurs) that cites experience is the best teacher. The ENTRESOC is a training tool for helping various sectors in society appreciate each one's interdependence in promoting entrepreneurship and economic development.
Module 1: The Entrepreneur's Role
In at least two rounds of the exercise, the participants are organized to play the role of plain citizen, entrepreneur, or government leader. At the end of Module 1, they:
- Appreciate the value of entrepreneurship in society's development
- Analyze the critical role of various stakeholders in society for enterprise promotion
- Analyze the conditions required for entrepreneurship to thrive.
Module 1 is targeted for entrepreneurs, trainers, NGOs heads and directors, stakeholders for enterprise/entrepreneurship promotion.
Module 2: The Banker's Role
In at least two rounds of the exercise, participants experience the impact of decisions and actions of government leaders, bankers, entrepreneurs and citizens on their economic standing. At the end of Module 2, they:
- Appreciate the value of entrepreneurship in society's development as well as in the sustainability of a banks' operations
- Analyze the critical role of the various stakeholders (especially banks) in society for the promotion of entrepreneurship.
- Analyze the conditions required for entrepreneurship to thrive in society
- Identify the functions/role of bankers in assisting entrepreneurs to thrive in society
Module 3: The Government Officer's Role
In this exercise, the focus is on the impact of promotional activities undertaken and services given by government leaders and officers to promote entrepreneurship in their communities. At the end of the session, they:
- Appreciate the value of entrepreneurship in society's development
- Analyze the critical role of various stakeholders in society (especially government) for the promotion of entrepreneurship
- Analyze the conditions require for entrepreneurship to thrive
- Identify the functions/role of government in assisting entrepreneurs
