Entrepreneurship Development Course for Educators

The Education Sector is one of the pillars in attaining economic growth of a nation. Educators/teachers play a key role in the development of an entrepreneurial culture/enterprising behavior of students and community. If we want to aim towards becoming an enterprising society, the education/academe sector can indeed be harnessed to promote entrepreneurship as early as in primary, secondary, tertiary levels.

This program is designed for teachers/educators to acquire basic entrepreneurial competencies and for them to be able to impart these to their students.

Objectives:

At the end of the training program, teachers/educators will be able to:

• Realize the importance of entrepreneurship development in the economic programs of our country
• Assess their personal entrepreneurial personalities/qualities
• Understand the business environment (macro and micro environment), cultural values, available government programs on entrepreneurship
• Acquire basic competencies in business planning i.e. marketing, production, organization and management, and finance
• Test the viability of the business idea/plan
• Acquire competencies/inputs in facilitating entrepreneurship courses/subjects through the experiential learning approach called CEFE
